Are You Talking To Me? Jill Scott And Tamar Braxton Tweefing Over BFV

This is one of the most unlikely beefs we’ve come across and—surprise—it was started by Tamar.

Last night while Jill was probably sipping some ice tea and getting ready to wind down with a little mindless entertainment, she tweeted: “Please watch Mary Mary on WE tv. Finally a real representation. Yay!!!!!!!!!!”

Innocent enough, right?  Well the baby, and most outspoken, of the Braxton clan somehow took offense to the tweet because of her and her sisters’ show on the same network and she responded by saying:

As if that wasn’t unnecessary enough, another Braxton sister, Towanda, decided to jump in on what shouldn’t have been any drama at all, tweeting:

Um, where’s my Kanye West, “ooooh they so sensitive” button? I am so glad Jill decided to cut out the noise by tweeting:

That’s exactly how I felt about what they were saying.

If you want to tear apart Jill’s initial tweet, I suppose you could say the “real representation” line was guilty-by-association shade because both shows are on the same network but I highly doubt she had the sisters in mind or even specifically WE tv when she said that. If anything, it was probably a shot at the “Basketball Wives” or a shout out to there being a christian-based reality show on TV. Pretty much, the 9 out of 10 different ways you can decipher that tweet have nothing to do with the Braxtons and therefore we invite them all to have a seat—as they apparently already did by not responding when Jill called them out.

    I would pay a thousand dollars to see Jill scott in concert. I wouldn’t go see Tamar for free. She is an embarrassment to black women. She just had to Believe Ms Scott was talking about the Braxton’s because she knows. Even though she will never admit. Tamar thinks having money justifies acting and talking like you have nothing. More than a 5th grade education

    Tamar  is messy. Towanda needs to shut up too. No one was comparing the two but if it came down to it Mary Mary is better than Braxton Family Values on any given day. *flips hair and walks away*

    I love how everyone on this forum is acting like they are above the beef and pettiness yet here they are so childishly attacking the Braxton clan. Tamar brat self “got in her feelings” like we know she does and Towanda shouldn’t have gotten involved but that is just them. Did Toni, Traci or Trina say anything? No so why are all these comments attacking the Braxtons as a whole? Attacking Tamar and Towanda is one thing but dragging innocent names through the mud means you are just as petty and ignorant as the people you are criticizing…In other news I hope they kiss and make up because I do not like beef between black women, especially in hollywood.

    You know i was just looking at the photos of Jill and Tamar side by side.  I  think the photos say more than people could ever say.  Just look at the natural style and beauty of Jill, as oppose to the trash of Tamar.

    Jill later tweeted that just because she loves oranges, it doesn’t mean she hates apples.  Tamar is an immature drama queen. The RHOA and Basketball Wives have been all over the press with their antics and negative portrayals, so that’s what I thought Jill was referencing. But yeah, Tamar and Towanda..have a seat girls.

    I can only imagine Tamar bouncing in her seat, tossing her “hair” (well it is her’s, she bought it), wiggling her fingers and speacking in that ANNOYING SQUEAL she calls a voice, all the while “booming, dot com’in and speaking about Tamar in the 1st thru 5th person.  I thought Towanda had more class than that.  Oh well BOOM BABY!
    BTW-The photo above is not flattering for Tamar AT ALL!

    The Braxton’s aught to grow up! Real women don’t have to play highschool games. Why would Tamar or Twanda assume Jill was gunning for them? Could it be that you are not proud of the picture of yourselves that you depict? Wha, what? .COM???? I enjoy both shows but please don’t try to bring down a fellow sister (my girl Jill Scott) due to your insecurities.
