Twenty years ago, in 1992, Damien “Football” Williams’ name was all over the news. The 18 year old was caught on video tape attacking a white trucker, during the LA race riots.

Williams was identified from computer enhancement of the videotape that revealed a unique tattoo. Williams was charged with attempted murder as well as assault and mayhem.  In 1993, Williams was convicted of mayhem and misdemeanor assault and was sentenced to 10 years. In 1997, Williams was released for good behavior, but in 2003, he was convicted for the 2000 murder of a drug dealer. He will not be eligible for parole until 2019.

A reformed man, Williams spoke to Eurweb about his life, the future of our children and what regrets he may or may not have.

Why would a respectable website give a forum to a common criminal?

  • FergieFerg

Wow…they let him out early for good behavior only to go back because he was convicted of murder.  I guess he didn’t learn his lesson the first time.  SMH

They always say they are reformed until they get out of prison, start trouble again.

I have to be honest, that video shot of him hitting that truck driver in the head with that brick has always haunted me.
