Serena Williams Says She Can’t Bear To Have Her Heart Broken Again

Serena Williams is done dating—like pretty much for good. In an interview with Celebuzz, the tennis pro completely opened up about love, and mostly about heartbreak.

“I have given up on dating. It just hasn’t worked out well for me,” the 27-year-old said. “I’m a really emotional person. I give my all and everything. I do make mistakes — like every human does — but the last relationship just was too much of a heartbreak for me. I just can’t go through that anymore. It was hard.”

Looking through our Serena Williams relationship Rolodex, her last relationship was either Drake or Common but we’re not sure which she’s referring to. Serena and Common were on-and-off for three years, beginning in 2007, but shortly after, Drake appeared to move in and take his spot. That situation didn’t really last though—about three months at the most—so if we had to choose, we’re going to assume she’s talking about Common. Either way, Serena says it’s going to be a while before she’s linked to any other man.

“I just have to remove myself from that atmosphere for about the next decade or so,” Serena said. “I can’t get involved.”

It’s crazy to think two years post break-up Serena still feels this strongly. If I’m not mistaken, Common has made a few statements suggesting he might be still be missing that old thing—and let’s not forgot that beef with Drake that was probably about her. These two might need to just quit playing and give it another try.

    Serena Williams will never find love because she is not mature enough. Just look at who she was dating 2 rappers (boys). She needs a man who has HONOR,RESPECT,DIGNITY,INTEGRITY,VALUES, MORALS,CHARACTER,LOVE for himself. She needs a man that is going to love her for inner beauty and not for her behind. Soon as she figures this out and dress with some common sense then maybe the right man will come along, and stay away from Kim Kardashian etc. The real men in the world do not want to waist there their time on her. Start talking with some sense and not trying to be something that your not, get rid of the fake hair and use the hair that you where born with. No man wants to wake up with a woman who has fake hair that is falling all over the place. Their are plenty of men in the world for her if she cleaned up her act and not be so emotionally troubled. She needs to start loving herself first before she can love someone else and when that man comes around she has to be ready because

     Are you getting ready for Wimbledon? Quit dating boys and date men. Find a mans man, actors and entertainers are primarily hubris and self absorbed. It’s kind of difficult to see yourself if your man is always in the mirror. You need an outdoor guy that fish, hunt and cut wood for thge fireplace has strong hands. He is comfortable in a Pendleton jacket or Tux, a pick-up truck or a limo, shoulders if you need them. If trouble approaches your door he confronts it and ask that you stand back until it is determined what it might be then discuss. When you look into his eyes you see security, comfort and trust. He is secure in you doing your thing knowing that all is right in the universe of Serena and he.

    Waiting 10 years won’t guarantee she still won’t get hurt. I understand taking a break (as we all should to figure out what we want), but 10 years is excessive. She’ll change her mind.
