If you are active military personnel, a government worker, or a law enforcement officer, you have a much higher chance of scoring a first-class seat if you arrive at the airport in uniform. Though it sounds like a bit much for a seat upgrade, you won’t be thinking about the uniform you’re in when you’re sipping champagne and eating first-class meals while the flyers behind you munch on crackers. If wearing your uniform isn’t possible, bring your photo ID that shows your position.
