TELEPHONE LOVE: What A Long Distance Relationship May Say About You

I’ll say it right off the bat: I don’t believe in long distance relationships. If you live in the same city for a while, and then one person has to move away and you stay long distance until you can make new arrangements—fine. But, if you go away to another city, state or country, meet someone for just a few days, and decide to try and form a relationship around that after you get home, you might be guilty of the following:

    I’m in a long distance relationship just happening to be browsing online looking for encouragement as I do sometimes get sad not being directly with my partner (we communicate throughout the day everyday), but this article definitely offends me. I wouldn’t be surprised there are people who might do this, but I don’t think they’re the norm. I just happen to find someone I truly love and care about who just happens to be 2000+ miles away from me. I understand things can be hard, but she is worth it to me. I’m even willing to learn a new language to get closer to her family and friends (particularly her parents who happen to be much closer to me location-wise).

    I don’t think this person can really have a say because they’ve obviously never been in a long distance relationship from the way they talk. It’s really obvious that this is from an outsiders perspective.
