It Takes Two To Tussle: Deion Sanders Cited For Assault

Somewhere in the midst of twit-picing him and his sons sitting around the coffee table filing out police reports, Deion Sanders neglected to mention that police didn’t exactly see him as innocent in the whole ordeal. Following an investigation into his altercation with his wife Monday night, Prosper, TX, cops also gave him a ticket for misdemeanor simple assault.

His punishment is obviously a lot less than his wife’s who was hauled off to jail for assault family violence since she appeared to be the aggressor in the case, but by Deion also being ticketed I assume the cops didn’t buy his claim of simpy “defending” himself until he could call 911. His citation could cost him up to $500 which is a drop in the bucket for him, but he spoke to Dallas station KXAS about the domestic dispute after Pilar’s arrest, saying:

“Is somebody going have to die? Is it going to be me before the court does something and gets this woman out of my house?  It’s absurd.”

Looks like he got his wish because upon being released from jail, Pilar was also banned from entering the couple’s mansion for the next two months. She told reporters after being set free:

“I am innocent. I understand that I have a very little chance at beating a Hall of Fame, two-sport man that everyone seems to love and adore. I am a full-time mom 100 percent for my children and I have just not gotten a fair shake.”

I’m not sure how she thought “kicking, biting, and scratching” her soon-to-be ex-husband in front of her children would help her get one but this may be another lesson she learned the hard way.

    I don’t know them personally but judging from their reality show, Deion acted so rude, like an egoistic maniac towards Pilar. I knew something was off with their marriage. And, Deion  publicizing their divorce on social media and using the children against her is unnecessary. Whatever issue you have with the mother of your three children can still be handled privately. Many of these atheles/celebrity wanted a trophy woman who will just look cute and take care of their children. You got what you wanted, and now all of a sudden she’s a golddigger. C’mon now, grow up.

    Are we all forgetting about Deion’s ways? (remember the reality show) Lets not be too quick to judge Pilar, we all make mistakes and fall short after be tested too many times. Deion is narcissistic and a habitual cheater. And lets not assume she fought in front of the children, this could have happened in another room, they probably overheard the commotion and noted her friend was there. I need to see a police report before I believe Deion. All these comments are jumping to the defense of him. We are women and we all know how trifling a man can be and we also know how vulnerable women can be. Lets stop hating each other and lifting each other up in a positive light. Men already think we are crazy lets not let them think we agree.

    Some women will do anything for attention and have an inflated sense of worth. Most of the time, they are common gutter trash. This woman reminds me of Nya in the Kindle book Layover by Peaches the Writer. She tries to portray this image of class, yet will spread them for anyone with the right pockets. Tragic.

      I don’t think Pilar is a gold digger, per se. Like Nya in the Amazon book Layover, she made her own money (Football Wives). Pilar just so happened to be married to a man who is a famous athlete. She should get a fair portion of what the household raked in while they were together. His money before her should be off limits.

    The reading of these comments are so angering and pathetic…downright sad. Black women are now the most brainwashed creations on the face of this planet! Sadly, so used to being, seeing, accepting, and receiving all forms of abuse from Black men (cause you have no standards and rather say you have a man than to be alone) that when a faithful Black woman actually snaps (because she is beyond tired of being abused by that Black man) you want to belittle, degrade, make snide remarks towards HER…and excuse and overlook HIM. How dare a Black woman that has held that Black man down become tired of putting up with his super smelly and heart staining bullshyt?! You know for a fact that Black man (Deion) is and has been all kinds of abusive to her and manipulating those children. Hell, “regular” Black men do this to their women everyday. Deion’s kids, like Pilar and the rest of us, know he is the breadwinner…he has the money and holds their welfare in his hands. You better believe that if he THREATENS and ABUSES her in whatever way…he THREATENS and ABUSES those kids in whatever way too…they know WHO to side with for the sake of their survival. Manipulators with money (Deion) are the most dangerous people on the face of this Earth. And Black woman who never had real guidance, never knew what real love is, nor never had or developed ethical relationship standards are the biggest fools on the face of this Earth. Wonder why society now “hates” and “shuns” the Black woman in media overall, at every chance they get?! And YES…I’m a Black woman…but I’m not like most of y’all…I’m not thirsty and I actually have STANDARDS!

      I have to agree somewhat with Mocha.  I don’t understand why people are so quick to assume that Pilar is nuts, all by herself, without any provoking.

      My opinion is, and has always been, that NEITHER party is innocent. 

      Its also CRAZY that Deion was caught trying to cheat weeks before he announced the separation and everyone FORGETS about that entire situation.  They both need to have several seats!

      Mocha…. so you slam an ENTIRE race?  You paint your opinion using a broad brush!  Pilar cheated with this man on his first wife.  So… this makes her an innocent?  She has a 1 million dollar pre-nup.  All of this drama is because she wants more!

      She should take the agreed upon $$$ and leave.  She will still receive child support.  On the outside looking in… the problems are a result of her greed!  

      BTW… they are both posting all kinds of crazy stuff about each other.  I feel bad that they have both lost sight of their kids! 

      Remember the saying… “what goes around, comes around!”  Some may consider this karma!

      Finally, There are millions of Black woman with STANDARDS!  Sorry… lots of us have standards!

    Man I hope NFL network doesn’t drop Dieon like they did Warren Sapp. They are great analysts despite the personal issues. Plus it looks like he will need to keep they checks rolling in for the forseeable future.

    Seriously Pilar that Angry Black Woman scent you’re wearing is a little strong. Girl you will not be broke or hungry no matter what. It’s not worth coming off as a psycho.

      I agree….its hard to maintain composure…but you have to be a responsible adult for the children, dont want that memory to be forever enstill with them. Just chill.

    I don’t know why Deion Saunders would put that information out on the internet with his children and supposingly filing a police report.  Some things you just don’t put out on the internet like your personal business.  ONce you put it out there you don’t know where it going.   This is definitely another “war of the roses”. I think he saw the signs prior to marrying her but like most people neglected them. Dometic Violence is not the answer.  While they are acting ignorant and foolish, his attorneys are laughing their way to the bank.    Sad!
