Damage Control: Jennifer Williams Admits She’s Changed, Explains ’2-Bedroom Apartment’ Shot

One of the funniest aspects of the whole drama that’s going on between Jennifer, Evelyn, and Nia on “Basketball Wives” is the fact that everyone is talking about Jennifer changing as if it’s a bad thing.

After having some time to calm down after last week’s episode aired and filing the lawsuit against Nia, Jen took to her blog to clear up and confirm the rumors that have been going around about her. The new BBW outcast wasn’t ashamed to admit that she has changed like the ladies said, except she says her transformation is for the better. She also says she wasn’t throwing any type of shade and Nia when she brought up her two-bedroom apartment during the altercation and explains what she really meant by her comment. Here’s a bit of what she had to say in her post, “So Much Hate:”

“I just find it so unfortunate someone I once called a friend has no respect for me and felt the need to violent me physically.  So of course after you completely disrespect me by putting your hands on me, my mouth is going to get reckless.  I am not happy for the things I said to her but I was caught off guard and left in a vulnerable state.  The 2-bedroom apartment comment got taken way out of context.  I live in a 2-bedroom apartment so why would I look down on her for that.  My point was don’t act like I lived with you when you live in a 2 bedroom apartment with a roommate.  There would be no room for me and all my stuff that barely fits in my 2-bedroom apartment in NJ.  The whole attack against me was pointless. Okay, we aren’t friends no need to fight about it let’s all be mature adults and move on.  People come into your life for a reason, season or a lifetime.  I wish it didn’t have to be this way, it makes me sad but that is life.”

Jen then goes own to talk a bit about why she filed the lawsuit against Nia, saying that as someone with a degree in Political Science and a concentration in Pre-Law, she is fully aware of her legal rights and the justice system. She then cops to changing since she first joined the show.

“For the record, I have changed. I am striving to be an independent woman and I am building a future for myself. I have zero time or tolerance for BS. I am not sitting around waiting for a man to take care of me.  Lucid is 100% mine; I built it from the ground up. No licensing deal or I am a paid spokes model.  I don’t sit around and knock what my cast mates are trying to do business wise.  Be a leader and not a follower, no one was thinking about the cosmetic industry until way after Lucid.  At the end of the day, I find it all unfortunate that I am the constant topic when it comes to hate and no one can uplift one another.  Fame has never been a weakness of mine but by watching this show I can’t say the same for all the ladies.  I just hope everyone can recognize what is really important in this life because Basketball Wives will not always be the HOT thing… Then what???”

Sadness. Someone should have given Sheree the heads up about that down in ATL, but that’s for another “wives” discussion. Anyway, Jen seems to be comfortable in her skin and genuinely unconcerned with what Evelyn and Nia are up to which makes the amount of time they spend bad mouthing her all the more ridiculous. I’m pretty sure no one really cared what bad things Jen had to say about Nia’s apartment after she popped her in the mouth anyway but it was cool of her to address the noise cordially. Maybe the other ladies will take note.

Do you think Jen did a good job of clearing the air about her part in the altercation?

If Jen wants to sell more workout attire, she needs to find a pretty face to represent her line. She wants to focus on how much wealthier she is than Nia, but she needs to remember she is by far the most unattractive on the set. Jen, you’re rich and you’re ugly.

  • Is It 5:00 Yet?

I agree with her. Don’t expect kind words to come from my mouth if you slapped me. The ironic thing is that Evelyn is boo-hooing about her friend being called a bum b****, but didn’t she call Royce the same name last season?

Jen I say that if your moving on for the better than keep it movin’. I think you are a real classy lady and you really don’t need that BS in your life. people will try and break you when you’re trying to make things good in your life. I would’nt trust either one of them anymore if it was me can’t be my friend.keep your head up, and keep it movin’.

I never misinterpreted what Jen had to say.  People say things out of anger all the time. I really don’t understand what Nia’s issue is with Jen.  Jen fell out with Ev.  She no longer talks to Ev and you work for Ev.  Assuming your loyalty is to the woman who provides your paycheck why would she hang out with Nia on a regular basis.

I’m also tired of these ladies judging her for filing a lawsuit.  They keep saying in my neighborhood you don’t do that.  The world is not your neighborhood.  You play with the wrong one and their should be legal consequences.  Ya’ll aren’t teenagers.

I now really like Jen and I do think she’s changed from being in Evelyn’s butt to being her own person. I don’t think any explaination was needed on Jen’s part. If it were me I would have done a whole lot more then talk about her apt had she laid hands on me. I really feel like Nia is thirsty and ALL of this was a ploy to get on the show. I like that Jen has decided to be above this foolishness.

Jennifer is not all that innocent.  I don’t know why you continue to write on the basketball “wives” foolishness.  People need to stop watching it.

If I were Jen, I wouldn’t have apologized.  It’s always the broke down ratchet women, talking about “give me my stuff”, when there is nothing to take. Jennifer was MARRIED to an NBA player, so I am sure she got a decent severance check.  Unlike the other women, Jennifer had a PH over looking Miami before the SHaunie O neal checks started coming in.

Evelyn is a hypocrite.  Wasn’t she just dehumanizing Royce last year for not wearing $1500 Herve Leger dresses?! Driving a 100K Porsche and screwing any and every athlete while your mother lives in a 2BD in the Projects….she needs to shut up

For the last episode, I had to check the channel to make sure it was not the Animal Planet.

Yes Jen has admitted to change but a change for the better is always positivie.  I believe she has a right to sue Nia as Nia was trying to get props and be on the good side of Evelyn.  Nothing gave her the right to hit Jen and she was just 100% wrong. How come no one was mad with Tami when she was threatening to sue Evelyn?  This show is a show of short term memory.  I am also disappointed in Shaunie for not putting her foot down and uplifiting such trashy behavior among black women.
