Make sure your passport is good to go.
If you have never traveled abroad, you may or may not have a passport. If you don’t, it is crucial that you are able to obtain one ASAP. Being issued a passport can take months, so if you’ve never traveled outside of the country, be sure to go through the process of applying for and getting a passport. If you already have a passport, make sure that the one you have is still valid. Passports expire every 10 years for adults and every five years for children. Without a valid passport you won’t be able to leave the country and your European getaway will have to be postponed or cancelled.
