For an artist at their peak, the shine is brighter than the rays of summer. But the sun always sets. That hasn’t stopped some of our favorite R&B stars from attempting encores to put them back in the spotlight. Let’s take a look at some recent comebacks to the game by those who step to the mic and say that they never really left.

Why is it that we have to ask these sorts of questions about black artists? I never here ppl complain about old Madonna making a comeback or Shana Twain/Alan Jackson in country music or old and broke down rockers KISS, Ozzy Osbourne and Motley Crew producing music and touring. Yes, I would love an Antia Baker CD ASAP in fact!

You know what I don’t get MN is why you failed to mention the horribly abusive relationship that Wanya  and Brandy had back in the day? I mean there isn’t a Chris Brown post in which you don’t mention his teenage fight ith Rihanna!

I can’t stand when people get stories mixed up and start bad mouthing Wanya’s name. Brandy didn’t have an abusive relationship with Wanya. The abusive relationship she had was with a backup dancer. And even that was not a truly abusive relationship like Chris Brown. She was just in a relationship with an insecure guy that probably felt intimidated by her success, so he would say really nasty things to her, and it was emotionally abusive.

Brandy and Wanya dated, but they just didn’t work out.

Brandy and Wanya didn’t have an abusive relationship. I wish people would know what they are taking about before they put dirt on Wanya’s name. Brandy never even said that. She was dating a backup dancer who was would put her down verbally. That’s who Brandy was talking about when she mentioned being in an abusive relationship. Still that was nothing like not Chris Brown’s physically abusive episode.

I like Ashanti but I can think of others you could have added Faith Evans, 112, EnVogue, Brownstone, Jade, blackstreet, guy, there are plenty out there bu5 one hit rap wonders and pop songs have taken over. Ledisi, Melanie Fiona, Marsha Ambrious, Neyo,Trey Songz, Jill scott are the very few new R&B artist left. But they can’t jam like Maze, EWF, the whispers, patti, and chaka but they are true to their craft
