Stripper Vanity Wonder Writes Book On Undercover Butt Shots Culture

At 4’11,” stripper/model Vanity Wonder’s body measurements seem too dramatic to be true, and that’s because they are. Standing at 32-23-43, many men have probably wondered how she got a butt like that, and the answer’s not her mama, it’s butt shots. Now, the men’s magazine veteran has written a book uncovering the world of butt-enhancing procedures, titled “Shot Girls.”

In a recent interview with SkinNYC.com, Vanity said she decided to go public about her procedure because there are a lot of misconceptions about why women get butt shots and she wanted to set the record straight since so many women refuse to fess up to getting them.

“I’m tired of people telling me why I did what I did,” she said. “Just because I made this decision for me, doesn’t mean you get to comment on it.”

Vanity seems to be out to prove a point that it’s not just girls with low self-esteem looking to make a quick buck dancing or posing half-naked who get butt shots but that the practice is becoming extremely common among everyday women, and either they should be ostracized as well or the whole butt shot witch hunt should be left alone. According to her, this is a practice that is not going away anytime soon and it’s really no one’s place to judge.

I’m pretty sure Vanity’s trying to follow in Karrine Steffans’ Video Vixen shoes but I’m not sure this book will live up to the hype. You can check out a free chapter preview for the book on her website plus more from her interview here.

Do you think butt shots are a big deal regardless of who does it or to each his own?

Well hey if you don’t like it fix it….. guys get enhancement *cough* surgeries too.  Stop acting like woman are the only ones who have body parts, they wish to change. As long as it’s done by a real professional doctor, not someone deep in the jungles of Panama, then you should be fine. Now her butt may look cartoonish, but there are also good sizes in between to fill a woman out.

  • joyce

I was actually with a relative of mine who got them done she does the but modeling and club promos..she tried to explain to me that its not “a** shots” but it smooths out the cellulite in your a** and makes it look fuller..some people just decide to go overboard with it because they don’t immediately see results. To me she still looks the same..it doesn’t look too awkward or anything. I would never get it though..I would rather it they gym and do squats lol

people only get plastic surgery including butt injections for two reasons. 1 they don’t like how whatever body they’re getting surgery on looks our 2. they want attention. that’s it if ur not happy with the way u look then fine that’s ur choice and if u want attention that’s fine too but either way it does come down to that person not being happy with their body and that’s really sad we should really love ourselves more and not feel the need to conform to others standards.

The women who do these enhancements remind me of the guys that get tattoos…this may look good now but in the long run gravity has a way of winning.  With that being said this young lady apparently did not like the fact that people were commenting on her rump.  And why wouldn’t they?  It’s a conversation piece.  She has hair way down her back, which at one time it would’ve been a topic of discussion but that old news.  She has bigger breast again old news.  But when you are walking around with an abnormally huge rear, you would have to know that people are going to talk on it.  You have to assume that you will become fodder for all types of negative and insulting comments!  Okay you wrote a book about it,  so now what happens?  I didn’t bother to read the “free chapter preview” for the simple reason… I would be annoyed by the audacity of having to commit myself to reading such drivel!

Vanity stated that “she’s tired of people telling her why she did what she did, and because she made the decision, doesn’t mean others get to comment” Here’s the contradiction…#1. If you didn’t want anyone to comment, then why tell the world about your booty and turn around to write a book about it. #2. Because you made the decision to make your booty look abnormal as heck, well-balanced folks want to know why, why would this fool do such a thing to her body? Although, you did this as a personal enhancement, I know men look at your backside and slobber, but I also know they laugh…and after they get finished talking about what they could do w/it – - they turn simple and laugh at all the stuff they can’t do with a donkey like yours!
Write a book about how you got out the game of stripping and ended up getting a degree or how you became a successful business women and opened your first franchise.…and if that’s not you write about that person instead!! LOL.

I like it again and again and again, since it will only allow one “like”).

Wow watching that interview was eye-opening…NOT. Vanity doesn’t come over as the most educated person at all, furthermore how can she write a book about Butt Shot culture and not investigate both sides of the spectrum? She sat there and fumbled over her words when she was asked why people take it so personally, shouldn’t she have interviewed some people who are a part of this so called ‘Witch Hunt’ and include that in the book? I’m going to sound VERY ignorant here because I haven’t read the first free chapter that she’s offering but I’m going to assume that it’s some kind of plastic surgery propaganda book. It’s fine that she has no overt psychological reasons for wanting to do it but what about the people that clearly do, what about the women who are doing it solely for men? And like CARRIEDEVIL said, what about the people that DIE for this image that is being perpetuated by women like Vanity?

No one cares, because money is being made.

Good god!!!……sitting down must be really uncomfortable! Lol. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. It looks horrid..as someone has already suggested..it looks cartoonish. It look abnormal!!!!!!

  • Lyecry

You know when hip hop first embraced curvier women people felt that it was a more realistic body type to embrace. Not everyone is rail thin, and the rail thin type body is what was being exploited to an extreme(still is). But now, the curvy body type is being exploited to an extreme. A body with exaggerated female features. Just says a lot about how women are exploited in general to meet the needs of the fantasy of men.

Ladies, here’s how you know when you’re doing too much:

You’re “classy” picture (as opposed to the non-classy picture) is the one where you’re wearing a Hooters outfit!!

    • Half-pint67

You have a good point.  You know you’re doing it wrong when your “classy” photo is your Hooters outfit photo!

I don’t see anything wrong with the surgery. The backlash comes from Women like VANITY who OVERDO the injections. Look at her a**…it doesn’t even look proportionate or natural. Why the hell would anybody want that. Vanity…you did it for your career and no other damn reason. What other career out there would REQUIRE you to have an a** that big. NONE! Stop selling folks wolf tickets

  • Hevsml1

I just don’t understand the hype and I’m 4’11 with 32-25-38 measurements. All natural and I definitely got it from my mama! But talking about it’s not a self-esteem issue is a lie; as if everyday women don’t have self-esteem issues. For the video girls, barbies, strippers, heauxs, etc. you wanted your a** to be out, but you didn’t have enough to get attention and good old fashion squats and lunges just seemed too much like right. Let’s be serious. To each its own, but you just look deformed with skinny legs, no hips, and a 40 inch backside.

i know i’m not the only person who thinks this looks crazy…this looks crazy.

I’ve never had a problem with women exercising their right to plastic surgery. I’ve even thought that I might treat myself to a cosmetic procedure or two on a landmark birthday. However, but shots and the like are often done through the black market and can KILL. Under no circumstances should we support women/men goin to such lengths for vanity. They need counseling. Furthermore, it is just plain old disgusting how far some will go to fetisize their body. Some of these women/men are genuinely trying to achieve the backside of a horse or donkey. It’s just bizarre.

  • RedButterfly81

Her butt look so cartoonish and funny looking. I’m so satisfied with my medium butt, no small minded men won’t harass me when I’m walking by. This is why I’m teaching my daughter to love herself and be satisfied what God gave you and not change for no one.

  • TellingTheTruth

This is very sad. Maybe she should have done something to her manly features and not her butt.

    • TellingTheTruth

Her manly facial features that is.

  • Carriedevil

I think it’s really disturbing. Especially given the recent news coverage of women who were either scarred or died as a result of the procedure. I’ve always been a supporter of getting plastic surgery if you’re truly unhappy with yourself but I’m concerned for so many women, including myself, who look at women like Vanity and maybe feel like they should strive for these body images in order to feel validated as attractive black women.

  • W Veronica7

Plastic surgery is getting out of hand. I find this disturbing. This is another rock that will encourage young girls that their “a**” isn’t beautiful. Butt shots look too unnatural and unhealthy. Its makes them look deformed. Who comes up with these things. Most black women are naturally curvy, we do not need butt shots. Embrace what you have and complement your best features. I really hope this trend ends soon. I am glad she admitted to the butt shots because I was confused for a minute about whether their butts were real or not.Why can’t they go to the gym and work on their a** like everyone else?
