Shaunie O’Neal Says She’s Too Old For Jen and Evelyn’s Drama

Whenever Evelyn acts a fool on “Basketball Wives,” which is pretty much every episode, my gut reaction is, Shaunie, get your girl. Like me, most viewers wonder how she can watch things unravel so calmly while her friend ruins event after event with her bully antics—besides the fact that she probably has thoughts of paychecks floating through her head.

Vibe recently sat down with Shaunie and asked her the same thing and she basically said it’s not her beef so she’s not bothered.

“The Evelyn and Jen situation has affected pretty much the whole cast,” she said. “It’s really complicated for people who aren’t apart of their beef. Jen, I think, she tends to think that we side with one or the other and that’s not the case. I’m too old to be siding with two grown women that have their own beef going on.

“We’re all grown and everybody changes, and change is good for the most part. So, I’m just rolling with it and I’m kind of over it and I don’t care anymore.”

I think most people feel that way, especially since Jen is over the foolishness herself. That may be why Evelyn has decided to descend her wrath on new cast member, Kenya Bell.

Shaunie also mentioned she never expected “Basketball Wives” to take off like it did, and while she’s cool with the show being in it’s fourth season she said she’s already on to the next thing. She didn’t mention what that is exactly but her nonchalant attitude explains why she’s not involving herself in anybody else’s drama on the show.

    First of all these are just a bunch of old ,lame,and bored drama queens that are pretending to be happy and pretending to be something they are not..Okay they have money and are married to basketball players just to live that rich lifestyle,but in all actuality none of these women have any class or unique personalities..This show proves that when the marriage becomes stale ,a woman becomes bored and has no life but more time than usual..lol!! this is what happens..A group of grown jealous,insecure,pretentious,ghettofied,dressed up,weave wearing females do.

    People didn’t judge Trump for his cast, why judge Shaunie for hers?  At the end of the day, it’s all about business.

    When you KNOW that there is mess, fighting, cussing, drama in nice places might I add, then as executive producer you are supposed to band around your staff and come up with a solution that would benefit everybody.  However the problem is that the dollar signs are so prevalent it’s sad.  What started out, as I figured, the premise of current/former basketball wives co-mingling with each other.  But what we have are grown women, two who are fomer basketball wives, with the others being former girlfriends, being totally nasty with each other.  I’ll admit to watching it out of curiosity but found myself increasingly disillusioned with whole group.  I can’t believe that anyone who thinks that cussing at every single turn cannot possibly take that as being classy!  It should be an absolute embarrassment.  After the incident at Shaunie’s birthday party, with Evelyn being out of line and Shaunie not stepping in to squash it?  Totally irreprehensible.  If you allowed that mess to happen at a function that YOU invited them to, then sorry but you’re not too old for the mess because the mess means television exposure and more exposure means more money.  Suzie may be a ditz but she was right when she referred to the money in the bank, no more food stamps!

    Shaunie was producing television shows prior to meeting Shaquille.  She went back to what she knew.  But being Shaq’s ex wife did open some doors to her that weren’t open prior to their marriage.  Her show got picked up by VH1 and they’re all about the drama and the mess, so if she expected for the show to be on a more positive tip maybe she should have gone with a different cast and a different network.

    Everybody’s too old for Evelyn and Jen’s drama.  Everybody on the  show should be embarrassed.   Dang I thought Shaq gave her enough $$$$$ not to go down this road.  Oh well she looks great.

    I agree its all about the money.  What grown adult would let their friends behave like this in a public place? These shows keep the sterotypes going about black women.  How we can’t get along…..how we are combative and can’t have good relationships with one another.  I’m just sayin!!!

    I think Evelyn is now going to be  Football wife and now we do not have to see her anymore.  So Shaunie should just bide her time.  I will be glad to see her go.  I hope Jennifer stays, and as real as Tammy is I do hope she works on her anger issues. The fact that she go mad a Susie’s drunk behind for talking about food stamps and she has said she was on them, and the bs to the silly girl laughing on the radio spot and saying she would not let them talk about her that is crazy It seems that Royce and Jennifer are the only two sane ones left on the show.

    I’ve STOPPED WATCHING THIS CRAP!!! No more BS!!! I think the only reason I’d tune in is to see Evelyn get the azz KICKING SHE TRULY DESERVES!. S.O is looking at her bank account during all of the fighting going on around her! So YES she is affected by all of this Drama! The side she stands on is taking her straight to the bank!! This once was a good show to sit down with the girls at lunch and discuss but now It’s an embarrisment and something we all ask with awe is: You’re STILL watching that show? I’m SO GLAD THEY GOT THE FUKC OUT OF MIAMI!!!!!

       Its all about the money.  So why would she rethink the cast when respectable and polite people don’t make for good TV.
