Cast of ‘In Living Color’ Revival Revealed

Pretty soon we’ll see if “In Living Color” is one of those classic shows that should have been left in the ’90s or if it’s sketch comedy routine is one of those things that can stand the test of time.

A few months back we found out Keenen Ivory Wayans is hosting and executive producing a reboot of the show and part of the revamped cast has been announced. So far, the show will star Kali Hawk, Jennifer Bartels, Jermaine Fowler and Lil Rel Howery. I don’t know any of these actors/comedians by name but when I think about the original “In Living Color” cast, the show was what gave most of those actors their first big Hollywood break—even the fly girls. Speaking of, I wonder if they’ll be reviving that aspect of the show too?

Originally, the new version of the show was supposed to debut with two half-hour episodes during Fox’s 25th anniversary special on April 22, but Shadow and Act reports that filming won’t even begin until April now so it looks like that date is getting pushed back. Hopefully it’s worth the wait.

    I’ve never heard of any of these people, but I’ll watch.  If Keenen Ivory Wayans’ eye for talent is still as sharp, the writing up to par, then it should be a good show.  Probably the one thing that has changed since the 90s show, and might hinder the new one, is that they might not have as much freedom as they had before.  I wish it were going to be on Comedy Central instead of Fox, though.

    I know who Kali Hawk and Lil Rell is, but I don’t know the others. Jermaine Fowler is UNBELIEVEABLY hot though! Mmm mmm mmm… so swexy and SOOOO my type! 

    If Keenan is still looking for cast members, he should add Darmirra Brunson and Bresha Webb to the cast. I also think Affion Crockett should be in it, but he may want to still host his own show.

    You are correct in saying that we did not know anybody on the original show and they became mega stars later on…..So if it is anything like the original, I’ll watch it; and to answer your question, never heard of any those people.

    Kali Hawk was in 2009′s “Couples Retreat” and she is now playing Winston’s girlfriend on “New Girl”.  I’m not familiar with the other actors.
