Serena Williams Is Looking For A Specific Man Of Faith

Serena Williams might be giving us a little insight into why things didn’t work out with Common, Drake, or anyone else she’s been linked to romantically in the past year in the April issue of Sister to Sister. She told the magazine that any man she marries must be a Jehovah’s Witness.

“I think it’s important when you marry to be evenly yoked,” Serena said.

If you’re out there thinking, hold up, what about her own faith? Don’t trip. She’s working on it.

“I’ve been studying to be a Jehovah’s Witness, so I go to Kingdom Hall,” she told S2S Publisher Jamie Foster Brown. “I grew up a Witness and it’s what I know and we teach things that come from the Bible.”

It definitely sounds like the 30-year-old might be getting that marriage itch as she renews her faith. There are only a few famous Jehovah’s Witnesses that come to mind so this tennis pro might end up settling down with a man out of the spotlight. What do you think?

    I’m glad she’s back at the Hall, and I’m glad that she wants to marry someone spiritually mature but the best thing she can do right now is just work on herself as a single sister. You can only marry in the Lord if you’re in the Lord yourself.

    Common left her, according to Serena, so perhaps he wants a woman of his faith as well.  Lately Serena has been doing the most when it comes to Common (check her twitter lol)…it’s like she’s trying to get his attention but he never tweets about her or to her.

    And Drake never claimed her and seemed to completely play her. She did a twitter rant when it was reported that he was seeing another vid model.

    So yeah, Serena, it’s best that you look elsewhere, hun!

    I am glad that Serena is renewing her Faith and that she see the need to be obedient and marry only in the Lord regardless of who she may have been linked too in the past it’s what she is doing with her life now that counts not the past..My encouragement to you Serena is too keep studying build up your faith and I am certain that you will find someone who beleives just as you do.Welcome back my Sister!!!!!

    i dnt see y its so important to marry fro same church, as long as ur in christ and we share d same blives, y dnt we get married and most of all if God sanctions it?

      We do so because marriage is a three-fold cord including Jehovah God. There will be more harmony in a marriage if both have the same faith and worship the same God. Like she mentioned marrying in the Lord is a Bible command. Besides marriage can be hard work so it’s better to be obedient so as to have your union blessed. How can you expect blessings if you are disobedient?
