All day we read stories about celebrities–like “My Wife and Kids” star Jennifer Freeman who bit her husband in a fight over text messages–living their lives, going through ups and downs and it seems like lately, a lot of tragedy. And it always gets the most attention, right?

It started me thinking about celebrities and how much access we have to them. I always said if I became a celebrity–doing God knows what–that I would never reveal the more personal things about myself to the press. Can you really keep things under wraps these days, with the TMZ‘s of the world? They knew Michael Jackson was dead before his own sister Janet. But then, are celebrities concerned about their star fading? Is it just a game that celebrities play? They need the publicity to remain relevant, so any news is good news?

I don’t know.

On the flip side, news of Sandra Bullock’s adoption of baby Louis wasn’t revealed until she wanted to talk about it all. But where did she go to talk? People.

Do you think Queen Latifah would rather not have a pictures of her intimate moments on a yacht captured on film and all over the internet?

Do you think Fantasia wants everyone to know that she allegedly had an affair with a married man and was so distraught over the attention that she took pills? Do you think her daughter needs to know this stuff?

What do you say Madames? Is full disclosure the price celebrities pay for being rich and famous?
