There is so much BS we put up with from men in college, in our twenties, and for some (unfortunately) forever. But, as the years go on, if you’re really learning from your mistakes and growing up, there are certain ways in which your relationships should be improving. Check it.

This is a good article and true, but sadly there are a lot of grown men (and women) who still like to play “games”.  When you reach a certain age, your patience for the game playing wears out and gets old. You either want to do the damn thing or you don’t. That’s why I’m passing on the movie Think Like A Man because it looks like a bunch of silly games that you have to play in order to find love.

I like the premise of this article but I believe that a lot of the “expectations” in it are a  bit unrealistic.

These “expectations” are unrealistic only if you believe they are. Expectations should be managed according to your needs & desires- don’t “settle” for less… period. Healthy, fulfilling relationships take ‘WORK’, as does anything worthwhile.

I’ve been fortunate to know my ‘worth’ and “expect” accordingly. Whenever I’ve taken care to believe I’m ‘worthy’- even in casual friendships, those expectations have been not only met, but often surpassed! At this point, it feels unnatural to accept anything less.

Relationships can be challenging.  Although maturity in a relationship can be challenging at times, it is necessary for all parties to maintain a level of maturity.  I have seen and been in relationships that were simply bad. However, that is life. Unfortunately, for those who view relationships as a burden it is probably not in your best interest to be in one.  Life is too short to be worried about stupid stuff.  As I grow older I do not have time for drama and/or trauma.  Live life and love.
