“Ask A Black Man” Cast – Meet Kela Walker

If you can trade lives with one celebrity who would it be? Dont judge me … Beyonce. She is a great example that women really can have it all, family and success and HELLO, she can retire at 30 and be set for life.
If you could have any job in the world what would it be?  I have my dream job, hosting conversations and producing content that makes people smile and enjoy the simple things in life.  I’m grateful to be apart of the changing landscape of black women in media.
What was your favorite part about doing the show? Guiding the conversation and hearing the different perspective of the fellas.
What was your favorite Ask A Black Man episode and why? It’s a tie between the Dating Episode (Episode 2) & the Marriage Episode (Episode 4). The men gelled so well together and were very forthcoming with their answers. Plus, the “Stallion vs Donkey” theory and the 3 keys to securing a man were HILARIOUSLY TRUTHFUL. 
Do you think that majority of the men were telling the truth with their answers or fronting for the cameras? I think a lot of them were telling the truth, however, there were a couple of moments when I thought “he can not be serious” but that’s the beauty of this series, agree or disagree, it’s men sharing THEIR perspective and showing their character.
What do you think about the casting on the show? I thought it was a great mix of guys, from gentlemen to jerks, they covered the gamut of the black male perspective.

    Sister I appreciate what you are trying to do. I might suggest you open your sample size to include more brothers over the age of 32. They have a very different world veiw!

    just one more thought…in regard to the question….What are the main characteristics/qualities that you look for in a man? In no particular order, integrity/ personality, security and Spiritually, the list can go on and on but I will stop there.Do u think the reason why your single could be due to what the main characteristics/qualities  that a man has not met in regards to you wanting to be with him? or is it something else? or more?

      We all have standards.  You have to stand for something (in someone) or you will fall for anything (from someone)

    Actually it doesnt,(my opinion)  why ..1. because you only covered a certain age demographics which in turn doesnt give a full perspective on opinions of black men. 2. you only covered single men….you didnt cover men who are married, or divorced or from a widening age gap. 3. being a part of the media and your pressure to maintain ratings and to not offend ..you can edit what you want to and put what you think fits…i wonder if a black man is actually editing footage with an opinion on what he thinks should be included or not..again just a thought.

      I think the men ranged form their 20-30’s which is in line with the target demographic of Madame Noire and I think the film Think Like A Man. You only saw 1 panel which was all about the single life and as such included only single men.  These are not the only men featured in this series.  We have married men on a couple of episodes. And lets keep in mind it called ask a black man, not Ask an Older Black Man, or Ask An Experienced Black Man, simply Ask a black man and while that may mean a lot of  things to most people, the producers made the most with those that came out from the casting. The producers behind the series have integrity so Im pretty sure thay are not manipulating the footage.  What you see is pretty much what was said. Granted you aren’t seeing the full hour of taping but it pretty true to form

I know sometimes it might not seem like it but there are people that appreciate the work that you and the staff at Madame Noire put in to keep us all informed and entertained. You’re a great host and i hope to see “Ask A Black Man” continue. So a big thank you for all that you do. I think you’re very pretty and classy too.

    I’m looking forward to watching this show.  Hopefully, the men on this one won’t be as bitter about black women, as some of the men who appear on TV One’s ‘Black Men Revealed’ show.  Bitterness is not attractive on anybody.   The guys listed on this show are younger, so there’s a good chance they’re still optimistic. 

    Was this young lady actually posing on the rooftop ledge of a building, in that first pic?  Whoa!

      You sure they were bitter or did they speak truth and you didn’t want to hear it you know getting some sisters to take responsibility is like pulling teeth

        You sound like one of ‘em, Herm.  Like I said, bitterness is not attractive on anybody, so maybe your experiences with black women are the result of that.
