Another day another Rihanna saga. Happy Friday StyleBlazers! Today in Robyn Fenty news, the self-proclaimed Good Girl Gone Bad released these twitpics of herself yesterday, in full Geisha garb with hashtags #thuglife #princessofchina. Wait, can princesses even be thugs? Sigh… Apparently the snapshots are from the video set of her track, “Princess of China” featuring Coldplay.

    Don’t call it geisha clothes when it’s Chinese. Plus, no Chinese princess would have been caught dead in that….It’s just that the real stuff would be hard to move in for a vid. Not that the make up and earrings aren’t cute.

    Ok I’m usually a RHI RHI supporter but princess of China?! Really in Japanese geisha garb?. Umm you look gorgeous but get it straight even though asians can trace their dna back to Africa you are a Caribbean princess in Japanese geisha costume.

      Lol no dearie, you just haven’t been exposed to real Chinese/Japanese cultures! You mistaken her getup for Japanese Geishas b/c it looks closely related, but her hair is adorned with Chinese hair ornaments and her gown is a modern twist on traditional long Chinese/Japanese gowns. Here in America, the style she’s channeling for this song is commonly attributed to Japanese Geishas, but in reality, it is common in both China & Japan.  So next time before calling someone ignorant or anything unpleasant, make sure you are speaking with certainty & facts :)
