Tami Responds to Kesha’s ‘Juicy’ Interview, and it’s Not Pretty

Tami Roman must have come across Kesha Nichol’s exclusive interview with Juicy Magazine because she wrote a blog post the same day to address the beef with her “Basketball Wives” co-star, and well, from the title of “B****, B****, AND MORE B****,” you can see where this is going.

Tami not only gets on Kesha—again—for not coming directly to her about any issues she had, but she also says Kesha blew the whole “you’re not black enough” thing out of proportion, especially since Tami is mixed too(?). I don’t know ya’ll, here’s part of what she said:

“Do me a favor, don’t be such a liar and manipulator. I know you have friends in high ‘Executive Producer’ places, but let’s keep this all the way real.  When I met you, I approached you in a friendly manner and I did not have any issues with you what so ever. Everyone in this situation knows I was told you were Caucasian, so when I met you that is why I asked you. In that same conversation (which was edited out), upon hearing your answer, I said that I thought you were mixed but wasn’t sure of what it was – to be exact, my verbiage was, “I knew there was something else in you.” I wish you had been woman enough to ask me if I thought you were denying your “black” side and I would have cleared that right up for you. On the contrary, my saying that I thought you were mixed with something was in fact ACKNOWLEDGING that you may be of African American decent.  I am a product of mixed heritage and identify myself as a black woman also. I NEVER said you weren’t “black” enough… that is a flat out lie! I would NEVER try to belittle someone for that and I don’t appreciate you implying that I would.”

Tami adds that when she first met Kesha, she specifically asked her to discuss any problems she had with her directly and since Kesha didn’t do that, Tami implies she was right to blow up. The she adds this little sidebar:

“I am NOT a bully. People don’t understand that Keisha (sic) is NOT innocent in this matter and she does a great deal of lip boxing behind the scenes.  I am not going to try and be respectful when I have been disrespected numerous times…off camera.  If you are bold enough to talk behind my back, then you should be grown enough to handle the repercussions of your actions and words. The editors have done a wonderful job of putting my outbursts on the show but not showing the full chain of events. My outbursts are real, but they are also driven by something which is conveniently being edited out when it comes to Keisha (sic).  Wish I had an executive producer in my pocket…I’m just saying.”

I don’t think Tami knows the difference between talking behind someone’s back and asking someone’s friend for advice on how they should approach them with a touchy subject. That’s all Kesha was asking in my opinion, and she should be mad at Evelyn for telling Tami before her in the first place. Tami also has some choice words for Jen and Royce in her latest post, so these three might be full on beefing soon too. Sigh.

    Tami behaves this way because she CAN. Look at the women on this show. Yes they are messy, catty, pretentious, yada yada yada. However aint “nan none” of the other BWives BOUT IT. Yes, I am talking about Evelynn too. I can’t see Tami doing this in REAL life. I don’t believe she knows how much of an minstrel act she really is. And shame on some of you grown women who applaud this foolery…

      You are so right….Tami does it because she can. Someone needs to give this b***h her comeuppance. She is constantly talking about people (so tough) behind their back, but even if what she hears isn’t the truth, she hypocritically goes after the person…like Kesha.

      Kesha has the class Tami will never have. She has class, but it’s all low. She has ruined this show…..bipolar bully.

    WELL TAMI, Even though you are CRAZZEEE, I like your kind of crazy. AND ANYONE with a brain stem, knows that these reality shows LOVE TO TRY and make one person be the BASKET CASE & another the so called scapegoat!! Kesha is the GREAT WHITE HYPE of this season. BUT TAMI YOU KNOW WHAT’S UP……….. They want to present you as a maniac so the reunion show will be JUICY!! NOW EVELYN is being a tack head @$$ B%^&H THIS SEASON. But the producers are trying to make you look bad. STILL ONE OF YOUR BIGGEST FANS. Since Real World BABY!!!

    I don’t think Kesha said anything  bad about Tammy.  She just was upset about some comments Tammy made about her.  I think Tammy really took it  too seriously.  So, no one is never suppose to talk behind Tammy’s back.  If  she doesn’t want people to do that to her she needs to stop making nasty digs ate other people.   Tammy is always looking for fault with people to start a fight with someone.  You would think after a certain age you don’t have the strength & energy to keep fighting with people all the time.

    Evelyn was just trying to start some mess.

    Tami: You overreacted to Kesha speaking to Evelyn regarding her issue with you. Its not “talking behind your back” when someone just wants to know from a friend of yours how they should approach a confrontational situation with you. You need therapy, an exorcism and some strong anti-depressants.

    Tammi is rude and she doesn’t understand a woman to woman conversation. She will not listen, editing or whatever that is her true character. yes, she was rude to Keshia, very disrespectful and she would not give her the chance to talk with her about it ,she just went with what Evelyn the bitter woman said. Keshia is a beautiful woman and they are already hatin and it is clear ,jealousy is a ugly creature. She speaks with an accent and she has a calmness about herself,those witches hate that. They will try to break her down but I think she is strong and she will handle them okay, I’d say with a long handle spoon and keep it moving. Evelyn you need to focus on that man who is not going to marry your used up butt and Tammi continue your therapy you so need it and get your girls to attend the session . Living with you they will surely need some visit with a professional .It will take years and years of therapy for you and your family,and give Evelyn the number too. IJS

    I completely understand Tami’s position. And what does age have to do with angry outbursts??? we all get them 20, 30, 40, even 50 years old. I really don’t see why Kesha didn’t just let Tami know how she was feeling from the get go. It’s never good finding out from a third party how someone feels about you (when they feel negatively about you). The automatic reaction is to be defensive which is what happened here. I also don’t see how asking someone what their ethnicity is, translates to saying you’re not black enough. She asked because she did not know. How is that “saying you’re not black enough”. All in all the whole thing is pretty trivial and could have easily been avoided. There are no saints in this situation so lets not come down on one without coming done on the other.

      I agree w/you on everything, except about age. I’m not sure how old you are, but when you are in your 40s, like I am, situations are in a much different perspective. There should be a way in which we conduct ourselves, definitely in our 40s, because of what we’ve been through to get to the age we are to know better. This wasn’t like what went down between she and Ev, so as right as I think she is, the “B, B, and B” part, I believe, should not have been deleted from her mind for it not to come out of her mouth. But I do think they edit her to make her look crazy. I think she is on point. I wouldn’t be hanging with Evelyn, had I been her. Maybe it’s a closer to your enemies than your friends tactic. Evelyn is the crazy one, to the zenith exponent, in my opinion. They need to focus more on her deranged behavior, instead of Tami’s, for Tami let’s you know what’s what, as opposed to Evelyn (I’m thinking Evil-lyn.), who is just draining, immature, whack, and stupid. She blows up over bs, which is just as embarrassment, or dare I say, humiliating, to watch.

      Exactly what I thought. Black people know what a commonly asked question that is. Kesha doesn’t look like your typical bi-racial so I understand Tami’s confussion. Kesha said that “black women hated her mom because she dated a black man”. Kesha’s mom interjected saying” NO! Black woman loved me, because I had soul”. Which is it, Kesha?
      I don’t believe anything Kesha say’s, she obviously has a hard time telling the truth. Claiming she didn’t withdraw from Kenya’s video shoot because it wasn’t up to her standards. When that’s exactly the reason Kesha gave Kenya. Claiming that she’s not going to get involved with any drama, yet on next weeks episode their she is telling Evelyn that “Kenya said you were loose”.

        Kesha is one of those MIXED CHICS that thinks she’s better than other black women. That’s why she tries to sell it like, ‘OH, EVERYONE IS AGAINST ME’ and s**t. But its obvious that she is full of it. She is probably hated on because she thinks she is above them. HER MOM IS MORE BLACK than her. People always tell someone to calm down, WHEN THEY ARE IN THE RIGHT, so it’s frustrating and the last thing you are thinking about is how to say something right. Especially when a person can open their mouth and sound off to one person, ( Uh Kesha didn’t have a problem talking $%^T to Kenya) but tries to talk calm to another because they are afraid of them. THAT S**T is PUNK@**!!

     I don’t know who Tami thinks she is.  She is a bully.  And what has Jen or Royce ever done to her?  Royce done a lot of kissing up to show her loyalty; Jen broke the ice with Tami when things went south between the two of them.  Evelyn was the only one that did not back down from her, even after revealing the fling with Tami’s ex.  It’s funny how now she is kissing up to Evelyn.  I am glad I never ever, from the beginning fell for her so called “keep it real” lame game.

      Exactly! She is having beef with people over petty s**t like not knowing what a food stamp is but a woman sleeps with her husband and calls her irrelevant and she is acting like that’s her best friend. I used to like her but now I see she is beyond childish, tacky, classless and a bully.

    Tami really is simply crazy. Kesha was asking advice from Evelyn on how she should handle the situation, but of course big mouth Evelyn went and ran her horse face looking a** to Tami trying to get some s**t started. Evelyn needs to worry about that cheating a** man she calls a fiancee/boyfriend instead of keeping mess started.

    I think that by now everyone should know how to approach Tami. She’s said time and time again to come to her with any problems you have with her and yet again people keep going behind her back. All Kesha had to do was talk ti Tami about what was going on but instead she went to Evelyn. If she had gone to Tami and told her what her problem was none of us would be talking about this right now because all this drama would have never happened.

      It’s so simple, yet so difficult for folks to understand this Maya…..I relate to Tami’s outbursts. Although I haven’t been keeping up with this season, Tami’s position has never changed. She’s outraged by the bull**** that these “women” bring, then she gets labeled “crazy, bully, blah, blah, blah”…it’s like this: if you don’t want this type of wrath, just be woman enough to address whatever the issue may be, in a respectful way and move on. Especially in this type of situation….and Tami needs to watch Evelyn’s punk a** and NEVER forget she laid down with her husband and kicked it and smiled in her face. Evelyn is NOT Tami’s friend. PERIOD DOT DOT DOT

      I honestly think there still would have been a problem because Tami is just one of those people. None of this excuses her behavior. She’s too old and has 2 teenage daughters looking up to her. Why be on TV or blogging call another grown woman out of her name. She’s just classless and angry at the world. She and Evelyn both need to grow up and dig deep within themselves to find out why they’re so miserable.

      Exactly. All Kesha had to do was address the situation when it happened. As soon as Tami made the comment, she should have asked her what she meant by it. But for “reality” television purposes, this was dragged out. It’s all about ratings. I do agree with Tami. She is not a bully, but portrayed as one. Tami is real, but real don’t get recognized on fake shows.

        Guest510 and S_J, I completely agree. S_J, I’m upset w/you b/c you stole my words! LOL! You left me with little to write! LOL! For real, though, Tami and Royce are the only truthful people on the show (Tami being the most). I do not agree with how she thoroughly handles her situations; however, her premise(s) are sound. One thing that she is is not a liar. Maya “seems” to come from a place where she knows how to outdo someone with Tami’s temperament. By that, I mean, I’m suspecting that she comes from a background that no amount of college (And I’m college educated.) can give you (Look at the difference in mannerisms between her and Royce.). She automatically has the belief that she is better, and she’s eaten people like Tami for breakfast all her life, and grew to love it. 

        If Tami can clean up how she phrases her words (sometimes, not necessarily what she says), it would either turn out as two bourgeois women or as I can envision, one who can still maintain her “down” behavior with style. She’s not the “BULLY” or the bad gal, until she lays hands on a person. I rely on her, quite frankly, for the facts.

    Yes she’s a bully. She’s fallen out with everyone on the show besides Royce and Shaunie I think. For someone so beautiful, she really is insecure and it’s sad that she’s setting a horrible example for her 2 daughters.

    I hope she continues to get professional help. Hell ALL of the women on that show need professional help and a lot of prayer. It’s no wonder none of their relationships lasted. SMDH.

    Tami is just as crazy as ever.  She is up there with Evelyn.  They are both ignorant, immature and always got to start some kind of fight.  They need to grow up!   This so foolishness.  This is the reason why I stop watching the show after the second season.  A bunch of foolishness.

    Tami Roman does explain the reason for her behaviour and what we see from an overall edited reality. I think its clear you don’t like her character,but if you read what you just posted it seems pretty simple. Tami Roman will always be the bad misunderstood woman on the show who is always having a problem with things that don’t concern her.
    Lol@ you trying to pull her mixed card. I’m sure you and a bunch of other black people think you’re mixed even though to someone who really has parents of different races you’re just a full black person trying to steal their shine.

      I also think you don’t know what talking behind someones back is. As long as the person isn’t present and you’re talking about them, its considered behind their back, whether you’re saying something nice or not.
