Ratchet 101: Mama Jones Releases Trailer For Her Reality TV Show

It’s the reality television show you’ve all been waiting for! Mama Jones, the crazy, deep-voiced mother of rapper Jim Jones (who you can all catch through the show Love and Hip Hop), has just received the green light for her own reality show. No word yet on what station it will air on (Vh1 or BET probably…), and if it will even get picked up for television, but we do know that it’s being produced by Flex Alexander (you know, from One on One?), but there’s already a trailer out for the program. And of course, it’s ratchet.

It looks like you’ll get to see Mama Jones go forward with her rap career (which Jimmy is not a fan of), push a line of condoms, throw shade at her Love and Hip Hop co-stars, and kick it in the strip club. *sighs* But there is also a deep aspect to the show, where we finally get to find out about her estranged husband and the drama that comes from their struggling relationship.

Altogether, it sounds like another reality TV show I WON’T be watching (I had to leave Love and Hip Hop behind once they started fighting all the time), but if this kind of ish floats your boat, go ahead and ride. Check out the trailer from World Star Hip Hop below:

Give me back my damn cartoons!!!!  If I want drama I’d rather watch to see if the Road Runner will lose his footing and and tumble over the cliff instead of Wile E. Coyote or Bugs Bunny hell I can watch the Flintstones!  But this “reality tv” crap is annoying!

  • Yeah….OK

They greenlight crackheads, strippers, hoes, and pimps for tv shows and as represetation of the black community and then wonder why everyone strives to be that in life…. Networks are showing the young and impressionable in our community what gets shine. As a young black woman starting my own design company I’m forced to think being independent and having class isn’t popular or not what’s up since it seems like only the bottom of the barrel woman seems to get wifed and parade around!!! But u know what, God gave me a destiny a dream and talent And I refuse to throw away what ive been taught and what I have been blessed with for 15 minutes of fame and an ignorant baller on my arm….NO THANK U!

It took me a while, but I’ve given up ratchet reality tv and blogs: Basketball Flies, Houseflies of Atlanta, Sandra Rose. I’m just fed up with the negativity within my community (the Black community). I will not be tuning in to this show either. No dis to those that plan to… it’s just no longer MY thing. I had to become the change I want to see.

      Ditto!

Some people just never grow up I guess… I’m pretty tired of all the reality shows. Can we get some positive images of black people? Why anyone wants to portray themselves like that is beyond me.

Money, money, money. Everyone has a price.

I agree.  I just stopped watching Real Housewives of ATL, Basketball Wives, and Mob Wives last week.  I got tired of all the drama and negativity.  The Mob Wives are white, but their issues were just as bad if not worse than the black shows.  Either way..I just got tired of watching petty, immature, grown women fuss and fight over nonsense and bs…
