As we prepare ourselves for Spring our wardrobes must get ready as well. It’s time to put those dark colors aside and throw in some color. If you are afraid or not yet ready for too much color, you can always play it safe in the NUDE.

    Ms. Hooks no offense…but this article was lazy, i know for a FACT you can do better than this, not only did u name the obvious but u didnt even take the time to sit and name at least 3 of the items you listed

    -Nude Lipstick
    -Nude Trenchcoat 
    -Nude + Gold dress

    im surprised u didnt throw on some google images photo and name it nude draws, come on now take this down and repost a better one, and show some dedication in your work for goodness sake

    dear madame noire,

    do you know that majority of your readers are black women? most of whom have dark(er) skin? nude (at least the shade of nude you guys are advertising) is really nude for the other groups of women (ie with lighter shades of skin like NON-BLACK women), so i wonder why you would advertise toward us? did you really think before you put it out here?

    What the hell is this? A site for women of color, largely black women (HELLO, MADAME NOIRE!!) posting about hot “Neutral” looks for the spring. Since when is peach to pasty white NEUTRAL or NUDE for most women of color?! I know the product names aren’t in your hands, but choosing to promote them like everything is easy breezy about it as opposed to problematic is so irresponsible and ignorant for a site that generally operates on a much higher level. Damn.

        I was searching for the perfect nude lipstick everywhere to match my skin tone then I finally found one at Victoria’s Secret.  They have a lot of different shades.
