Willow Smith Goes Blonde

February 27th, 2012 - By Brande Victorian

Willow Smith is clearly going through an experimental stage with her hair. Earlier this month, she showed us all her new shaved head and now she’s dyed her low cut blonde.

Willow appears to be having fun with her new look from the Twitter pics she uploaded of her hanging with friends. Rocking oversized glasses, she tweeted “Nerds Rule,” to explain her style which she says is here to stay:

“New music! I am gonna be a different Willow from now on ;) .”

All I’ve been thinking about all day is lyrics… #depressing.I am with my friends and I keep staring in the distance writing songs I M H…”

We’re not sure what the 11-year-old’s new music will be, but one thing we know for sure is there will no more whipping of the hair back and forth.

What do you think about the blonde ‘do?

First off this is not a good pic of he new look…if you look in the back at the other people you can clearly see the colors are slightly off. Second it’s nobody’s business if her parents let her cut all her hair off and go blond. She is eleven and is afforded the luxury of self expression be it through her music or her hair… It’s obviously what she wanted and good for her parents for letting her be herself… it’s not like W&J said cut your hair and go blond for your career… and I think it makes her already beautiful face just that much more so. Let kids be kids and don’t be so hard on her just because she’s famous…

I dont think there is anything wrong with her hair, she is a child and times have changed. i think some of us women wish our parents let us express ourselves like that. I’m sure she is getting good grades and whatever else. We dont know what goes on in Will and Jada’s house hold. Would some of you like it if someone said your daughter is way to young to get a relaxer on thier hair and call you a bad parent, because dying and relaxing you hair is the same darn thing, damaging chemicals. Leave the girl alone and let her be whoever she wants to be.

Amen!!! If the people on here are so holier than thou…take your campaign to the streets to non famous people and see how quickly you get a) cussed out b) dotted in your eye or c) all of the above.

Americans like to control children over the dumbest stuff.

I know…she must be a little robot. smh

Her hair is going to fall out….

At 28 I guess I’m old fashion. I don’t think a child should have her hair dyed, hell I didn’t even get to arch my eyebrows till I was 16. This entire look and look that willow has been going through is not cool, expression of creativity or becoming of an 11 year old, next we are gonna see her grind on some random boy at a concert then it’s ” oh she’s embracing her sexuality, at least it’s not a woman” blah blah. All of you who are for this look have got to be either a: too hood and dumb to differentiate between keeping a child a child or dressing her like your homie or b: one of those parents that think it’s cool to be your child’s friend and discipline is on a “friendly” level yah know because you don’t wanna stunt their individuality?!?! Smmfh… Thank god she’s not my child cause left up to me her a** would still be in bow knockers and ribbons with pig tails.

You are being introduced to a child of confused parents. It wll work itself out as soon as mom and dad are on the same page regarding child rearing. Again, maybe they are and everyone else has been doing it incorrectly over the years. Again, It will work itself out one way or another.

Why does this child insist on walking around looking like amber rose?….cute for her, not for you Willow. Get it together.

I think its odd that so many people are quick to say that her parents are doing a bad job based on her hairstyle choices. Are you kidding me? She isnt out there having sex and smoking crack. She dyed her hair? *gasp* When i was 10 I had a full head of weave one day then a finger wave with blue glitter the next. (Neither of those hairstyles were chosen by me lol) i turned out to be a pretty normal adult

okay so I’m not crazy? Girls were rockin asymmetrical cuts, kool-aid dyed hair and shaved napes when I was coming up. as long as it was in dress code for not being distracting at school it was all good.
