Man, I can tell you right now that the Los Angeles Times, Entertainment Weekly and more are going to go in on Rih-Rih in the morning…

On her 24th birthday, Rihanna released a remix, aka, an extended version of her track “Birthday Cake” with Breezy on it. It’s very suggestive and at times a bit vulgar, but that’s ya girl Rih-Rih for you! She wants to make him her b**** and he can’t wait to “blow her candles out.” Looks like Rih wanted folks to know there’s no one else she would rather celebrate her birthday with. Well, alrighty.

Then on top of that, Breezy dropped the remix to his track “Turn Up the Music” and that joint was a bit more straightforward and fun.

One track is definitely rated R while the other is pretty PG 13. Either way, someone’s going to have a problem with this. And I’m sure Miranda Lambert is somewhere fuming in her cowgirl boots. However, it’s pretty clear Rihanna wants the world to stop trying to make her the “poster girl” for domestic violence (even though she got on TV and kind of did that herself). They’re on great terms obviously…but I can’t say this music is great. It’s aight.

But check out the link for the “Birthday Cake” remix below, as well as the “Turn Up the Music” remix video which is emblazoned with my favorite word, “YIKES!!!!!!!’ Oh, indeed…

Well. If she is going back to him doesn’t that still make her a poster child for domestic abuse?

Really it’s not that serious ppl. Music is just that MUSIC, there is a place for everything and everything in it’s place. No it wont win any Grammy’s and rightfully so. ‘Birthday Cake’ is great for poppin it in the club or riding with your girls just as mush as Adel or Heather Headly are good for getting over a heartbreak or Kelis is good for feeling Bossy. Point is: just because this is what some consider midless music, doesn’t mean it is so. All music is, is the expression on diff emotions. Open your Frick’in Minds

Wow, I am thoroughly disappointed in her and her “people” Its just wrong. And its completely uneccessary. I think her career is about to wrap… He will destroy his own because he is ignorant and volitale, and learned nothing from what happened/what he did. Wow. I thought she was smarter than this….guess not.

Thnkx so much for this! I have not been this thrilled by a blog for a long period of time! You’ve got it, whatever that means in blogging. Anyway, Youre definitely somebody that has something to say that people should hear. Keep up the great work. Keep on inspiring the people!

See? This is why people need to let their past troubles go. These two can’t seem to leave each other alone, which is typical of young people who are attracted to each other but may not be a good match.

The remixes are no ‘Rolling in the Deep’ but I suppose they serve their purposes.

This will help Chris career much more than it will help Rihanna’s. At the end of the day, they have to please the record-buying public, not necessarily us, so if the people who buy music + tour tickets are feeling this then it is fine, but I think it’s going to rub more people the wrong way.

Rihanna is sending mixed messages to her fans I think.
