Legendary all-encompassing musician (guitarist, singer-songwriter, and rock ’n’ roll pioneer), Chuck Berry, has died at age 90.

According to reports, Berry was found unresponsive in his St. Louis home on Saturday (March 18) afternoon. The St. Charles County Police Department in Missouri also confirmed via Facebook that they has responded to a medical emergency that afternoon.

“St. Charles County police responded to a medical emergency on Buckner Road at approximately 12:40 p.m. today (Saturday, March 18),” the police department said in the statement. “Inside the home, first responders observed an unresponsive man and immediately administered lifesaving techniques. Unfortunately, the 90-year-old man could not be revived and was pronounced deceased at 1:26 p.m.”

For many, Berry’s death was a significant loss, especially the music community. In his lifetime, Berry was inducted into the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame, earned a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and a Kennedy Center honor.
