Turn these lights off!!!
It seems like black mothers have an obsession with the light bill. The light could only be on in rooms that you occupy. Your mother would just appear out of nowhere and turn the light off. Don’t even think about leaving the light on in a room that you’re not in. Sometimes I forget to turn off the light when I leave a room, but my mother quickly reminds me where I am and to turn the light off!
We know this isn’t everything. What other things have you heard black mothers say?
