Dealing with Depression as a Wife and Mother

January 18th, 2012 - By MN Editor

A lot of people, especially black people, assume that depression is just severe sadness. When depression is a much deeper, much darker issue. This mother and wife described it like this:

Depression is sadness and it’s hopelessness, fear, a paralyzing sense that this is how you’re going to feel forever, that this misery is never going to go away, things won’t get better. It makes just getting up to leave the couch or the bed seem impossible. It makes functioning in daily life the hardest thing in the world.

Find out how this woman managed to hide her depression from her step son Your Tango.com

I know we men have lots of
standards to pick up a woman, and there’s one website that can almost meet all
    our different demands:
    (((( B-l-a-c-k-w-h-i-t-e-P-l-a-n–e-t. c-0-m )))) my bros told me
this; it worked for them, it worked for me; and i’m sure it’s gonna work for u,
    buddy!!

Depression is very real, and it is very sad to experience or witness. You feel like it will always be that way forever, but when you get to the point where you say, NO, and will accept that feeling, you are on your way to being better. Prayer works, and Reiki got me through a very challenging time.

Postpartum depression is real and serious. At the very least it can interfere
with your ability to bond with your child; at worst, it can lead to the
unthinkable. Not every obstetrician or pediatrician asks you about how you’re
doing. TELL THEM!! There is help! Your life, and your baby’s life may depend on
    it.

The birth of a new life should be a joyously occasion. If your sadness
continues, please speak up. There is no need to suffer and, as a consequence,
    have your baby suffer.

yeah being a mother and a wife and dealing with so many issues can weigh you down and if you are not careful and can lead to depression where all you wanna do is lie in bed
