Oh Na Na, What’s My Name? Celebs Whose Real Names Baffle Us

Although I’m not one of those people who tries to define what a “normal” name is, it always makes me laugh or just truly confuses me when I hear about an entertainer with a real name that is soooooo different than what I thought it would be. From names you think look better on nerds, to ones that are just really random, here are just a few that we can’t seem to understand or get with.

And some 40K+ people ‘like’ this site on facebook… what a bunch of morons.     dnt know about the shaffer part but if he has a Nigerian relative then the chimere name came from the eastern part of Nigeria and the full english translation of it means ”God has done good to me”

      My only problem with it is how the author tends to make fun of the peoples’ real names, as if they had much choice in the matter.  They didn’t pick their names when they were born.  Sure, they could get them legally changed, but many people don’t bother.  Especially celebrities who can pick whatever they want to be known as without it having to be their “legal” name.

    O’Shea Jackson is my favorite… There are also TONS of white celebs with different names. Charlie Sheen’s real name is real HISPANIC. His brother is Emilio Esteves who chose to keep his real name. Back in the day (30s,40s,50s,60s) Jews and other white minorities with real “ethnic” sounding names were often told to change their names so that they could become stars.. Cary Grant, Tony Curtis, Peter Fonda, Greta Garbo.. that list could go on for days as well… Pretty interesting stuff.
