As the year 2011 comes to a close, it’s only natural to look back and reflect upon the decisions that were made…by celebrities, that is!  Focusing on the lives and (best of all) the fashion choices made by people we will probably never meet is soooo much more fun than trying to remember how many times you’ve cheated on your diet this year!

We’ve gathered our top 12 female style stars – one for each month – that have embraced this years’ trends, but still managed to stay true to their personal style. Be aware, it’s quite a diverse group! Style-wise, the only thing all these ladies have in common is their love of a bold red lip. You may be surprised by who made the list and who didn’t! In no particular order, let’s take a stroll down memory lane…

    I like all of the fashion looks! Jennifer Hudson is my favourite here, she is just so stunning with her classic, modern and elegant style. I think she needs her own fashion line! Her sense of style is so great.

    I think Tracee Ross is definitely at the top. Kelly Rowland is not far behind, but some of the list should not be there.

    Rihanna is the best dresser on the list.  That is why Glamour magazine named her the best dressed of 2011.  Who could get away with making red hair look elegant and glamorous?

    It Definitely goes to Solange. She has turned what is usually considered ‘weird’ and ethnic, to extremely tasteful. I love how her afro-centric style can go head to head with the most popular European fashion trends.

    Great article, I think Rihanna should be number one she’s definitly a risk taker when it comes to fashion, I think Kim K, or even Kourtney K  should be added as well they are my personal favorites fashion wise.

    Well seeing that Lala and Kelly are up there, I think Kim Kardashian should be up there! She is Armenian and that is ethnic…. so she qualifies! Put her up there! She knows how to dress!

    You need to find a new graphic artist. This article had great potential but I just could not get past the awful pixalation and choppy photoshop editing.  Lala Anthony’s page in particular…. her arms are not smooth. Her pictures has been stretched. It looks awful.

    Tracee deserves the number one spot. I love all these ladies, but Tracee’s a fashionista whom I can easily see dressing herself… almost anyone can be dope with the right stylist.

    She may be alot of things, but I think Kim Kardashian should be up there, I know she lacks in the personality dept, she makes up for in the fashion dept.

    Kerrry Washington/Tracee Ellis Ross-Tied. I can’t believe I love all of the choices except one…Lala Anthony. Not that I think her style is bad, but I just wasn’t in tune with it
