We’ve professed our love for the Huxtable family and The Cosby Show before; so it should come as no surprise that we just can’t leave them alone. Before it was all about the clothes, but now we’re talking about the hair. It’s no secret that The Cosby show pushed the envelope when it came to innovative hair styles for black women. If you were old enough to style your own tresses at the time this show aired, then chances are you were inspired to recreate one or more of these fly looks.

My hair was like Rudy’s when I was little and I was in an all white school for 1st and 2nd grade so everybody thought I was her or related to her…. Oh how I wish I never got a perm. I miss the butters.

Big ups to Mrs. Huxtable, still in my eyes the sexiest TV mom/wife…. Remember that episode when Cliff & Claire had the get away from the kids at that fancy hotel on the romance tip, and Claire finally let Cliff have some when she imitated Cliff by saying, “Let’s get it on.” Cot’dayyum, still gives me the chills each time I see that.

You forgot the Juicy Curl Duo: Sabrina Le Beauf and Geoffrey Owens! And when Winnie and Nelson hit the scene it was one perfectly soft-curled family.

And what about when Phylicia went short in the final season? That was quite cute. But I will tell you, when I was kid I would have killed for Keshia’s long thick hair and now, I would love to rock almost anything Lisa Bonet was doing tress-wise!
