When Charlamagne sat down with rapper Gucci, independent of “The Breakfast Club, Gucci reiterated the same claims he made about Angela Yee. In fact, he used even stronger language insinuating that Angela wanted him bad and she wasn’t pressed.

While he was making these claims, Charlamagne did the same thing he and DJ Envy did that day in the studio. He laughed.

We could assume that Angela Yee, Charlemagne’s coworker would have a problem with this. She’s repeatedly denied Gucci’s claims. So to have Charlamagne entertain them on another occasion, was frustrating.

We didn’t have to guess at Angela’s reaction. When someone tweeted that the two were coworkers and not friends, Angela Yee liked it.

Recently though, in an interview with DJ Quick Silva, Angela Yee opened up a bit more about her disappointment in Charlemagne’s decision to do the interview and his reaction to Gucci’s disrespect.

Leah Henry: A lot of people saying you and Charlamagne have some unsaid beef because he did conduct that interview with Gucci. Is there any truth to that?

Angela Yee: Would you do that? If it was you and Quick Silva, would you do that?

Leah: Um, there would be a discussion first. Was there even a discussion?

Angela: Umm no. I knew he was doing the interview. I just think that, in general, if you work with somebody and someone is saying nasty things you can’t even say on the radio, in a really derogatory way—whether or not you work with that person— you shouldn’t be talking about a woman in that way. Because I have never called anybody out of their name. I think that’s the real issue. You can’t just sit there and laugh when something like that happens.

I would hope that even up here for you guys, if someone said, ‘She’s a b—- and she tried to suck my —‘ You would be like, ‘Yo chill. Don’t talk about a woman that way.’ Even if he was talking about Loreal, I would hope, even if they don’t work together, you would be like, ‘Yo, chill.’

I’m a professional though. Even with everything going on, I’ve never said nasty, negative things about anyone. I say what I have to say. People are going to keep asking me about it, of course. It is what it is. Even with him saying he’s going to slap DJ Envy, that’s a 101 on how to not get invited back into the building.
