After trying to play it cool when speaking on his relationship with “amazing” The Real co-host Jeannie Mai during a recent interview, it looks like Jeezy is letting his guard down and is fully ready to stan for her.
The 41-year-old rapper took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a photo of himself hugged up with Jeannie with the caption, “She love when I talk dat fly $hit…#wcw.”
Jeannie hasn’t shared anything similar fawning over the “Trap or Die” rapper just yet, but she has said good things about him in the past — and we’re sure when The Real returns September 16, she will have plenty more to say about how their relationship is going.
“You guys know that I’m multi-dating, right?” she told her fellow co-hosts back in January after the couple were first spotted looking cozy together. “Jeezy and I hang out. He’s very special to me. We don’t really have a label to define what it is we’re doing. We’re just having a good time together.”
And now that it seems things have taken a more serious turn, a friend of Jeannie told PEOPLE that the pair are doing very well and are focused on making a difference together. The individual also revealed that they’ve actually been dating for close to a year, which is longer than most people probably assumed.
“Jeannie and Jeezy have been dating for about one year and they are very happy,” the source said. “He has been a recurring guest on The Real. They are both extremely dedicated to serving their communities and strongly support each other’s careers and passions.”
This is Jeannie’s first major relationship since she and ex-husband Freddy Harteis called it quits. They were married from 2007 to 2017, and they finalized their divorce in 2018.
