Apryl Jones and Lil Fizz

I’m sure that we were all aware that Apryl Jones and Lil Fizz’s relationship, whatever exactly it is, was going to be a topic on the new season of Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood, especially after she alluded to a possible sexual relationship between the two occurring in the near future. However, it was actually a pretty big part of the show’s premiere on Monday night, opening up the episode and showing us, via a kiss shared between the pair in future episodes, that their alleged platonic relationship will turn romantic. Who couldn’t see that coming, though based on all of the language used and excuses shared for whatever they’re doing?

During the episode, both parties went out of their way to make it clear that they are estranged from Omarion. Fizz said that it became harder and harder for him to get in touch with O over the years, and at a certain point, it caused them to have “no friendship.” And as for any thoughts Omarion has about the close friendship he has with Apryl, Fizz said he hasn’t shared them with him.

“You know what’s crazy, bro? O never even talked to me about Apryl,” he told Pretty Ricky’s Spectacular and his B2K buddy J-Boog. “If it was something more than that, I’d let him know, but it ain’t. But if he wanted to talk because I’m around your kids, talk to me. That part is weird to me, so I just leave it alone.”

As for Apryl, she reminded us that she and Omarion still struggle to co-parent, are constantly in court, and she even revealed that he pretty much left her in the dust after she had their daughter A’mei as though it’s a good explanation for where she and Fizz stand.

“O and I were together for four and a half years and had two beautiful babies. Two months after I gave birth to my second child, he left, and I honestly can’t tell you why,” she said in her confessional.

“I think co-parenting is extremely hard. You’re talking about someone that just left me when my daughter was two months,” she told friend Daniel “Boobie” Gibson. “I’ve gone through postpartum depression, all that sh-t, and I was going through that sh-t by myself. I didn’t walk around here going and slandering him publicly. I didn’t talk literally. I haven’t talked really until now. Allow me to move on, the way that I’m allowing you to go do you and I’m handling my sh-t behind closed doors privately.”

Still, both Apryl and Fizz maintained in the premiere episode that they were not having having sex; but hat didn’t keep her from sharing that, randomly, he’d seen her “butt a– naked,” and that if she chose to sleep with him, it would be her business to keep to herself.

“The question is, why do you want to know?” she barked at a producer during her confessional who asked if they were “smashing.” (What kind of lingo is that?)

“At the end of the day, it’s my p—y, it belongs in my body, right?”

She also, while saying they’re strictly friends, stated that it was possible that they could fall in love in the future.

“If me and him get into a position to ever be crazy in love, because we understand it could be possible, right now, we’re not,” she said. “It could be possible but it ain’t now.”

I am someone who’s fond of Apryl and Fizz — separately to be clear — but they were doing a lot, and saying a lot, to defend a relationship they claimed was innocent, which certainly didn’t make it feel that way. Not to mention, Omarion certainly doesn’t care. Based on his InstaStories on Tuesday, he seems more focused on reveling in the fact that B2K just performed at Drake’s OVO Fest in Toronto. With that being said, I’m not sure who they’re actually doing all of this for…*shrugs*
