People have been declaring it a hot girl summer even before the temperature jumped up and it was actually declared that particular time of year. And while everyone has come up with a whole host of rules and behaviors that they believe connote hottie conduct, for queen of the hot girls, Megan Thee Stallion, a hot girl summer is about women (and men as well according to her) “being unapologetically them” and “not giving a damn about what nobody gotta say about it.” Do what you want, wear what you want. For her personally, one thing she loves wearing that makes her feel her best is her short shorts. For those who aren’t comfortable seeing someone so confident in her cut-offs, they’ve questioned her clothing choices on many an occasion, but she’s not budging.
When a detractor asked if she owned anything “other than crop tops and booty shorts” earlier this year, she replied, “My home, my money, currently working on owning my degree…anything else?”
And she’s made it clear that the self-assurance she has and exudes is something she wants to rub off on the rest of us, and we love it.
“I really just want women, in general, to just be comfortable in their skin and know that the first person that you need to please when you wake up in the morning is yourself.”
