Married at First Sight Season 8 couples

Source: Lifetime / Lifetime PR

Just when you thought we’d heard the last of Will Guess and Jasmine McGriff‘s marriage gone sour, they’ve gone and had something of a surprising online squabble. (It is it a squabble if it seems that only one person is upset though?)

It all started when Will shared an Instagram post this week, following the reunion, thanking Married at First Sight production for the experience, wishing Jasmine well and speaking on what his time on the show and the result of it all was really like for him:

“They say you can truly see a person when you’re not looking at them, and those actions define their true character,” he wrote.

“Since that day at Parkside where @dr.jessicagriffin told me I’d be getting #marriedatfirstsight, up until the very moment i hit the share button on this post…. I’ve learned a lot about myself through this untraditional, crazy yet amazing journey,” he continued. “I can admit I wasn’t perfect by any means, and in hindsight there are many things I could’ve and would’ve done differently, including being more open and #HONEST on camera, how ever I know I lived a few Pilars [sic] in which strong martial [sic] foundations are built upon by displaying #INTEGRITY when it didn’t benefit my reflection…..However the #TRUTH was documented…. in one form or another….. 😎”

“I want to sincerely thank @kineticcontent and all the hardworking people, producers, etc that made season 8 of #MAFS what it was,” he added. “I entered this process to find my forever…that didn’t happen but I knew the risk before i signed up…. and I truly wish @jasminemcgriff88 nothing but the best in her search for her Mr. Right…. I enjoyed meeting her family (S/O Uncle Joe and Aunt Susie) and my main man Bentley 🐶

Will shared photos of himself with different cast members, but most of the images were with Jasmine (one one with her dog, Bentley). The post has since been taken down.

Overall, the message was positive. However, were there parts of it that could have been taken the wrong way? That seems to be the case, because Jasmine, who was tagged in the message, read it and was not pleased.

In comments caught by @MAFSFan on Twitter, Jasmine called him out for allegedly not taking part in the show for the right reasons.

“Bruh. Please delete anything about my family including Bentley. I’m bout to go in on your a– forreal,” she wrote.

“Attention seeking behavior, I’m over it!” she added. “@steamin15 delete my whole part in your paragraph. Here you go saying a bunch of nothing! You hated production! You didn’t sign up honestly, you weren’t honest during the process and I called you out on it! Plz don’t F with me tonight! Cause I GOT TIME TODAY!!!”

According to the page, Jasmine deleted what she said after the fact, but not before Will’s friend stepped in to defend him. The female friend, who supposedly was the one who signed him up for the show, called Jasmine’s comments “disrespectful,” telling her that she made some serious “missteps” in the marriage and her remarks show “a lack of maturity, self awareness and character. Not a good look for you sis.”

From there, Jasmine decided to go fully in.

“See bih I deleted my comments right…I was gonna chill n let this post ride…I was gon let him live his best life. So let’s all be honest…You signed him FOR THE MONEY!!!” she said. “He was in a depression, Will didn’t honestly think love would come out of this. He f–king told me that!!! I knew first time we talked that something was odd with yall and so did my family and friends but we let it ride. Knowing EVERYTHING that I know now, you honestly shouldve married him. Because your the only woman he showed interest in!”

“I am very mature but the slick comments make me think yall forget who I am!” she added. You’re protecting your friend, I get it, all I asked was to be left off this post so he did this to be smart! And that’s why I left the remark that I did, which I deleted. We aren’t friends, I said that sh-t for the cameras. He pushed my button to get a reaction and furthermore mentioned my family because he knows that definitely will make me react. N it did. I’m very annoyed.”

Before this happened, Jasmine had a pleasant message to share about what she took away from her experience on Married at First Sight on her own Instagram page.

“While it was an interesting journey, my future is bright and I’m choosing never to look back.”

Guess she looked back briefly just to make it clear that she’s not the one.
