(Crain’s) — New York’s small business owners feel even more pessimistic about the economic outlook for their companies than the rest of the nation.  Only 19% of entrepreneurs in the state intend to hire over the next six months and just 39% have a positive outlook on the economy and business prospects, according to an American Express survey released Monday. By comparison, last spring the survey showed 36% of companies planned to hire, and 53% had a positive view on the economy and business prospects.
