Kim Porter‘s death has come a shock to so many people, and those who knew her have shared a wealth of messages over the last few days to speak on her character, her love of being a mother, and to say that she will be missed dearly. And while there’s been speculation about the nature of Kim Porter and Cassie’s relationship in connection to Diddy, the singer shared a heartfelt post on Monday to celebrate Porter’s life.

“There are no words…. An amazing mother to her beautiful family, lit up every room she entered and now the most beautiful angel,” Cassie wrote on Instagram. “Sending so much love and my condolences to the Porter and Combs family. I love you @quincy, @kingcombs, Jessie, D’Lila, Chance, @princejdc and @diddy. Puff you are already the best father. I know you will be amazing. Love you too @callmepumpkin, @misahylton, Mama Combs & Grandpa Jake!! You all always have my love and support!! Love you @ladykp”

Both Sarah Chapman and Misa Hylton, also women in Diddy’s life and the mothers of his kids, shared some very moving messages about Kim as well:

And even though it was announced in October that Cassie, 32, and Diddy, 49, called it quits after 11 years together, they actually reunited over the weekend. The two were spotted on Friday leaving The Movement Institute in Los Angeles.

On Saturday, November 17, Diddy broke his silence                  about his former partner’s passing, saying, “For the last three days I’ve been trying to wake up out of this nightmare. But I haven’t. I don’t know what I’m going to do without you baby. I miss you so much. Today I’m going to pay tribute to you, I’m going to try and find the words to explain our unexplainable relationship. We were more than best friends, we were more than soulmates. WE WERE SOME OTHER SH-T!! And I miss you so much. Super Black Love.”

And a source allegedly close to Diddy told Us Weekly that “Kim’s passing has turned his life upside down.”

“She was someone who motivated others to be a batter [sic] version of themselves,” they said. “She was a ray of sunshine.”

“Kim and Diddy didn’t always see eye-to-eye on things, but their love for their children and the deep respect they had for each other trumped any issue they had,” the source added. “They were on very good terms in recent years. She was a ‘ride or die’ and very loyal to Diddy.”
