(Chicago Sun Times) — Squeezed by budget cuts, several suburban police departments have talked with Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart’s office about policing their towns — but Cook County Board members say those law enforcement agencies would have to cover the costs and get county board approval.  “We don’t have the resources to take on another police department,” said Commissioner Peter Silvestri, a Northwest Side and suburban Republican.
