Danai Gurira Beams On The June Issue Of Ebony Magazine
Dana Gurira, the woman behind Black Panther’s stand out character Okoye, is the cover girl for Ebony’s June issue. Beaming, twirling and radiating the effervescent summer vibes we’ve been missing.
During their chat, Gurira discussed not only her growing presence in Hollywood but the work she’s doing to ensure that she’s not the last Black woman to experience these types of opportunities.
As Diana Ross’ “The Boss” played in the background, Gurira shared that she’s a lot like so many other Black women. She wants to read more. She doesn’t have as much time as she’d like to cook and she probably checks her phone too much.
Check out a couple of shots of Danai being awesome and others from the spread featured in Ebony’s June 2018 issue.
