Leslie Jones Channeled The Legendary Grace Jones At The Time 100 Gala Last Night
Last night TIME magazine held a gala honoring its annual list of the 100 Most Influential People in the World in New York City. And while Leslie Jones didn’t make the cut for the list, she was certainly one of the most influential — and fly — individuals in the room last night.
The comedienne channeled legendary supermodel and icon Grace Jones at the gala, rocking a high-top hairdo that was a huge switch from her signature blown-out short cut, complete with an ombre purple lip and dark black shades.
The kicker for the look — aside from those legs — was the white tuxedo dress Leslie wore which was designed by Christian Ciriano, the man who keeps all the ladies of color on point on the red carpet.
When Leslie shared a photo of her look last night, she asked her followers, “So did I pull it off or what??” before adding a nod to Grace Jones’ 1981 hit with the caption, “’Pull up to the Bumper’” b-tches!!” Shout out to her hairstylist Dennis Bailey for making this ‘do pop. Do you love the look as much as we do?
