Now that we know Toya Wright is having a baby girl named Reign and we know that sports manager Robert Rushing is the baby’s father, Toya has also revealed how she will handle raising a child in this age of social media. In an exclusive interview with The Shade Room, the New Orleans native made it clear that she would have to put in some work to protect her newborn daughter.

“Honestly I’ve learned over the years to keep as much of my personal life as private as I can,” Toya said. “That being said, while I don’t plan to hide [my daughter], I do plan to shield her from the negative energy that can often come from social media.”

The 34-year-old, as we know, already has a 19-year-old daughter, Reginae Carter, and Toya has been trying to shield her from social media negativity as well. Their appearance on WeTV’s Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta has landed them both in a lot of hot water, with people calling Reginae a “brat” or “entitled,” something that Toya believes is being promoted by the show’s producers.

BET reported a week ago that the two had quit the show because of what Toya believes is an inaccurate portrayal of her daughter. She took to Twitter to show how annoyed she was at a particular dinner scene involving Reginae.

It seems like Toya was already at her wit’s end trying to protect her daughter’s image, and this scene put her right over the edge. She and her daughter made bold declarations that they were quitting the show because according to them, the show still didn’t get it right.

Well, Reign has nothing to worry about. Toya seems like the ultimate mama bear, so if anyone comes for her newborn baby on social media, she will be there to clap back immediately as she has done for her oldest. In that same interview with The Shade Room, Toya also revealed that Reign is due next week, so let the the protective mama bear of two roar!
