Tamera Mowry Losing Her Sh-t While Meeting Mariah Carey Is The Cutest Thing You’ll See Today

January 9, 2018  |

One thing you can’t help but love about Tamera Mowry-Housley is that she comes off incredibly genuine at all times, whether she’s shedding tears on The Real, or in the case of a new video, fangirling like no other over Mariah Carey.

The 39-year-old beauty stepped out with husband Adam Housley for a night on the town at InStyle magazine’s Golden Globes after-party. While on the carpet speaking with a reporter for the publication, she saw Carey enter the room and immediately was starstruck. Mowry’s glee was pouring over:

“That’s Mariah Carey!” she said.

“I’ve never met Mariah Carey, but my brother Tahj did a video with her. Fun fact guys, my brother did a video with her. We wanted our mom to take us on the shoot. She never did. Now is my chance to meet her.”

But almost immediately, Mowry started doubting herself before finally coming up with a plan of action.

“Oh my God! Should I? I’m just going to say hi, right? When she walks by I’m going to say hi.”

Carey eventually does walk by, and as Mowry catches her attention, the singer grabs her by the hand and calls her “gorgeous.” The actress’s response is priceless:

In the end, Mowry did indeed end up having quite the fantastic night. She even shared a cute dance with her husband:

But as she said, her night was made (as were goosebumps on her arm) by meeting the iconic singer.

And for the record, the video that Mowry was talking about that Tahj appeared in was the clip for Carey’s 1990 hit, “There’s Got to Be a Way,” years before the twins or their brother would get their own shows (Sister, Sister and Smart Guy respectively). Enjoy this walk down memory lane:
