F. Gary Gray

You may know F. Gary Gray for his award-winning “Straight Outta Compton,” but what you might not know is that there was a whole lot of hustling early in his career to pave the way for his success later. Gray started shortly after high school in trying to get his foot in the door in the entertainment industry. He landed a job as a camera operator for shows on BET and FOX and was even an extra in “Major League.” From there he worked tirelessly to build his reputation and moved into creating music videos and later films.
