Jesse Williams Claims Estranged Wife Is Violating Child Custody Agreement
The holidays weren’t such a happy occasion for Jesse Williams, and because of this, the “Grey’s Anatomy” star has opened up his new year with more drama with his estranged wife. The last time we reported on Williams, the star agreed to pay child and spousal support to Aryn Drake-Lee. He is back in the news, and this time it’s regarding his visitation with their children, 4-year-old Sadie and 2-year-old Maceo.
In November, according to TMZ, Williams was granted a new order to keep the kids overnight, if the scheduled visit fell on a weekend. This past Christmas Eve (which was on a Sunday) and Christmas (which was on a Monday) was a hard pill for Williams to swallow as he claims Drake-Lee did not honor the overnight visit agreement they recently made. Apparently, he got to see the kids on Christmas Eve and Christmas, but it wasn’t enough time. In addition, Drake-Lee kept the little ones on New Year’s Day. Documents obtained by TMZ suggest that she is indeed not honoring the agreement, so now the 36-year-old is asking the judge to modify it.
TMZ also reported that in general, Drake-Lee has made it difficult for Williams to have a real relationship with his children since their break-up, claiming Drake-Lee only answers one out of every three Facetime calls to the children, and when she does answer, she keeps time limited to a few minutes.
Williams and Drake-Lee called it quits in April 2017, which was a shock to many. The two were reportedly together for almost 13 years in what people called #RelationshipGoals at the time. It is a shame that they cannot come to an amicable agreement about the children. But I guess that’s the nature of a pending divorce.
