Darius McCrary: I Was Inappropriately Touched As A Child Star But I’m Not “Thirsty” Enough To Name Names
Who knew former Family Matters star Darius McCrary and Charlie Sheen were friends?
While out and about with a friend, the 45-year-old actor was approached by a TMZ photog and questioned about recent allegations that his buddy Sheen raped late child actor Corey Haim during the ’80s. Sheen’s rep told PEOPLE he “absolutely denies the claim” made by former actor Dominick Brascia. Even Haim’s mother said she didn’t believe that Sheen did anything inappropriate with her son, and would go on to name the individual she says did molest her son (his name was bleeped out on the Dr. Oz Show, which is where she appeared to refute the claims).

And McCrary is emphatically standing by his famous friend as he deals with such reports. “All I can say is Charlie is one of the most magnificent and kind people that God ever created,” he said. “And I can’t see Charlie Sheen doing anything inappropriate.”
After sharing his two cents, McCrary made some comments about people being “thirsty” for attention and for a way to get into the media. He followed that up by stating his own experiences with molestation as a child actor, but oddly, said he wouldn’t give details about it because he’s not one of the “thirsty” ones.
“I will say this though, I was inappropriately touched by a Hollywood executive, and I’m not going to tell on nobody,” he said.
When asked if the touching happened when he was on Family Matters, McCrary added, “This happened when I was a young man. I’m not going to say, but that’s what it is. See, I’m not thirsty, so I ain’t gotta tell my business because I’m not thirsty.”
It’s like he’s saying this is something that happens to a lot of people in Hollywood so there’s no need to start telling on people now — unless you’re “thirsty.” Definitely not a good message to send.
