We might be getting a better idea of the “inappropriate marital conduct” Jill Scott cited as one of the reasons she filed for divorce from husband Mike Dobson after a little over a year of marriage. Bossip now reports that the same day she filed the petition to end her marriage, she also sought out a restraining order against Dobson, which was later granted.

According to their report, per the order, neither spouse can “threaten, harass or stalk the other, nor can one trash talk the other in front of their kids.” Scott brought her son, Jett, to the relationship, while Dobson brought five children.
The order also keeps each party from destroying and/or hiding files on their hard drives, as well as assets acquired during the marriage. And both Scott and Dobson will not be allowed to spend money excessively without being granted permission by the court. However, even with permission from the court, receipts from their larger purchases need to be made available for the other party to see if said other party requests to view them.
Scott filed for divorce from her husband on Sept. 15. Dobson spoke exclusively to Bossip about the divorce filing and restraining order and said he was blindsided by both, calling his estranged wife an “evil woman.” He denied that he’d conducted himself inappropriately during their marriage, stating he never put a hand on her, cheated on her or made her take part in unwanted sexual contact. He also denied her claim in the filing that he’s unemployed. Dobson said he’s “held a position with the city of Atlanta since 2011” according to the report. He believes everything she’s doing is to tarnish his reputation because he wouldn’t let her run their marriage the way she wanted.
“She likes to emasculate men – that’s her problem,” he told Bossip. “I told her, she’s from Philly, but I’m from New York, and if you want to try to disgrace me, try to slander me, I can fight dirty.”
The couple wed on June 25, 2016.
