Have Several Seats In The Closest Classroom: B.o.B Believes That Slave Ships Never Sailed Across Our “Flat” Planet
B.o.B is no stranger to making folks’ heads hurt, and I’m still undecided on if it’s because he’s using his own way too much or not nearly enough. The “Nothin’ On You” rapper once was convinced that years of physics and astronomy got it wrong and attempted to prove the world was flat one tweet at a time. He even started a GoFundMe to send several satellites into space to provide video-evidence that if we walk too far across Asia we would eventually plummet into the depths of deep space nine. Someone please put this boy in contact with NASA.
Bobby Ray Simmons Jr. is now challenging historians everywhere and took to Instagram to post a video that basically states the Trans-Atlantic slave trade never actually happened. His use of “#SlaveryISNotInMyDNA” implies that B.o.B seems to believe that our ancestors flew over hear on a Delta flight or sprung up from the ground like dandelions, anything but being shipped over here on wooden ships that clearly never existed since there is no evidence of them today.
Stay with me. I promise it gets better. (OK, no it doesn’t but it may serve as some good pre-gaming conversation to give you and your girls a good laugh before turning up tonight.)
According to The Root, the belief is apparently a pretty popular Hotep theory and the site drops a few details behind the video that has B.o.B denying everything Harriet Beecher Stowe led us to believe. The video features a gentleman in a dashiki explaining that white people have manipulated maps, space and time itself to lead us to believe that events occurred that in all actually didn’t because think about it: Have you ever seen a slave ship in person? The Hopteptician explains:
“When the European came to power, what he did is change up chronology and geography, or the time-space coordinates, to disorientate us. So we don’t know where we at.”
B.o.B then cuts in with receipts in the form of 1904 map where he shows that Morocco in next to Japan and California and wonders if you aren’t looking at ancient Jerusalem neighboring with Illinois.
The video is then captioned with some creative math that proves that the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History is a shrine chock full of lies and deceptions
“They say slavery lasted 400 yrs… America is only 250 yrs old… You ever seen a slave ship ? They can find a billion year old dinosaur bone but can’t find any slave ships. #AseerTheDukeofTiers #apparently#SlaveryIsNotInMyDNA #WeBeenHere”
My grandmother is rolling in her grave anxious to slap this fool with her whole limited edition VHS collection of Roots.
