(Black American Reality) — If you’ve actually watched the previous videos of The Century of the Self, then you should see where I’m going with this. Blacks are no different than any other group of society, except in the area of self-esteem. The psychology of the matter would suppose that Blacks seek to compensate for years of being the “lesser citizen” by having the desire to be overly flashy or gaudy, if you will. Black Americans seek to be “ghetto fabulous” (I speak on a general level, being that the majority of Black America are in the poverty range). Because of this, companies take full advantage of the opportunity to basically rob the Black American community.
